Life Is… is a heartfelt reminiscence of the formative seven years of a young man’s journey from childhood to young adulthood in South Africa, punctuated with uncertainty and hardship, abuse and neglect. Set in the sixties, Alf Wood provides a rich observation of a child’s upbringing through the hardships and complexities of a breaking home, school, friendships and enmities, and on into army life.
